Glass Cake Plates set of 3
Vintage Style Glass Cake Plates
Beautiful reproductions of the cake plates from the 30's Depression era, these three cake stands bring class and style to your table top. Three different sizes in three different designs blend together to create a stunning display whether stacked three high, or individually used. So many uses! Perfect to pair with a bell jar or garden cloche to protect a delicate item from dust or show off that most loved Christmas figurine.
Largest plate has a molded flower design and a small lip around the edges. It measures 10" dia x 3" high.
Middle plate has a hobnail pattern around the edges and has a small raised lip also. It measures 7" dia x 2 3/4" high and can pair with a 5" diameter bell jar.
Smallest plate has a pressed glass design and measures 5 3/4" dia by 3 1/8" high. It can pair with a bell jar that is 3 1/2" in diameter.

Vendor comments (I just had to share because its so true): There is a bitter sweetness to places and old objects left behind because of changing times or technology. Looking at these old remnants it becomes so evident that often the simple techniques and tools of the past were actually better - better because they were so simple. It is a great challenge of design to get all the right features in the simplest of forms. Just take a look at the dashboard of a 1949 Chevrolet truck. It's perfect and a great example of good design that still holds true today. When looking for old objects to collect, one of the most appealing qualities for withstanding time is a simple, good design. We have once again turned back to our roots, by visiting places and things long forgotten. It is a simple reminder to stop and notice the beauty that surrounds us daily, no matter how busy we get with everyday trials. We have discovered that the most wonderful things are usually found in the most humble of places. These relics also seem to have an appreciation for being discovered. We feel the same gratitude for our customers.
