Unsilvered WWII Christmas Ornaments

Dating to 1941/42, these 9 unsilvered ornaments became a WWII casualty when the silver nitrate solution coating the insides to make them shiny, became "nonessential". Glass companies compensated by placing a sprig of tinsel inside these ornaments. We can narrow down their manufacture date on at least 5 of these with caps marked "Made in the US of A", to 1941 - early 1942. One bell is marked Shiny Brite. And the rest are have caps that are either not marked or the mark is too faint to make out.. All are tinted and hand painted.

Set of 9 consisting of:
1 - pine cone 4"
5 - torpedo/drops 2 1/2" and 3 1/2"
3 bells 2 1/4", 2 3/4" and 3"
Please refer to photos for condition. These are in very good condition considering their age, but have some normal wear.
Perfect for a patriotic feather tree.
Made in USA
