42" Fuller Feather Tree - Stiff Feathers
Fuller Feather Tree - Stiff Feathers by Dennis Bauer

42" Fuller Feather Tree

Made with Stiff Feathers
42" Height
10 Rows
61 Limbs
18 Side Shoots
22" Diameter

This pretty table top tree is made fuller by adding an additional row between every regular row. These additional rows are a bit shorter then the row above and below it which allows ornaments to hang freely from the tips of the rows. 3" - 4" ornaments work best with this tree. Height is from bottom of base to tip of tree. Comes with a square wooden base that is painted white with a gold dresden band and is removable.

The fuller tree design was inspired by a 1940's era feather tree found, still in its box and unsold, in the attic of Beeker's General Store in Pemberville Ohio. This vintage tree had a price sticker on it - $3.79!

PLEASE NOTE: The feather trees are hand made in Ohio as the orders are submitted if not already in stock. Please allow up to 3 - 4 weeks during peak season (usually November and December) for shipment of your tree. As always, please contact us if you need a more specific time frame.
Our Price: $402.00

ABOUT THE ARTIST
  • Dennis Bauer is one of the country's premier feather tree makers.
  • His craftsmanship is the finest in today's market. These Christmas feather trees are accurately reproduced using antique feather trees as examples.
  • See more about Dennis Bauer's feather trees in the Summer 2001 issue of Celebrate 365, "Christmas 1950-Present" by Christmas historian Robert Brenner, 2005 Victorian Decorating Magazine Holiday edition, 2006 Christmas editions of Romantic Homes Magazine and Martha Stewart Living, and on the cover of the March 2007 issue of Martha Stewart Living. Martha again submitted her design for Dennis to make (what we call) the Snow tree shown in the 2010 December issue of Martha Stewart Living and again in her 2011 Holiday Handbook.
  • An avid Christmas enthusiast, and Golden Glow of Christmas Past member, Dennis and his wife, Joyce, have collected antique and vintage Christmas artifacts for 40 years. They are always on the lookout for old feather trees and other holiday items. Feel free to email us with items you have for sale.
